Helen Nyamor, BSN, founded The Helping Team International Incorporated (HTI). Ms. Nyamor received an associate degree in nursing at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, USA, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Ms. Nyamor has over 26 years of experience in various nursing fields, including Public Health, Medical/Surgical, Community Care, and Child Outpatient Clinical Care.

Prof. Emakoji Ayikoye, PhDChairman of the Board
Professor Emakoji Ayikoye is an educator passionate about inspiring his students to become employable after graduation. In the past 9 years as a tenured faculty in the Business and Information Systems Department of Bronx Community College of the City University of New York, he co-designed and taught the following Health Policy courses: Theoretical and Computational Approaches to the Political/Economic Policies Affecting Healthcare Systems in the United States, and New Policies and their Applications to New York State Healthcare Systems. Professor Ayikoye brings to the HTI Board experience working with CEOs to ensure that the organization’s collaborations with partners will further our mission and vision.

Prof. Aondover Tarhule, PhDBoard Advisor
Professor Aondover Tarhule, PhD, is the current President of Illinois State University. Tarhule holds a PhD in Geography from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada, a master’s degree in environmental resources planning, and a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria. With over 32 years of experience as an academic and a proven record as a leader, Dr. Tarhule volunteered to join the Board of Directors for The Helping Team International Incorporated to lend his wisdom and experience to the organization to achieve its vision and mission.

Ms. Ashizungwe Nyamor, BSNTreasurer
Ms. Ashizungwe Nyamor, BSN, is a Registered Nurse and a 23-year veteran of the US Army, where she rose to the rank of LT. Colonel. Ms. Nyamor joined the Army after graduating from Nursing School in Michigan and was deployed to various locations as an Army Nurse Officer. She is a nurse manager at Michigan Veterans Home, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ms. Nyamor is a passionate advocate for improving healthcare outcomes in her community.

Ms. Stephanie Ikowe, MSNBoard Advisor
Ms. Stephanie Ikowe MSN, is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, and she comes to HTI with a wealth of experience in healthcare. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her expertise lies in cardiac telemetry, medical-surgical/critical care, and pediatric care. Ms. Ikowe has a strong background in regulatory services, ensuring healthcare facilities comply with state and federal regulations. Ms. Ikowe is dedicated to helping the underserved and follows the principle of treating others as you want to be treated. She brings her rich background to bear as a Member of HTI, Inc.’s Board of Directors. Ms. Ikowe currently resides in Texas.

Prof. Barnabas Achakpa IkyoCommunity Liaison / Coordinator
Professor Barnabas Achakpa Ikyo is a professor of Physics and the Director of the Centre for Food Technology and Research (CEFTER), Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria. Prof. Barnabas Ikyo is a researcher of international repute; his notable and most recent projects include the £1Million Technology Strategy Board UK project to develop a solid-state energy-efficient test kit for E. coli in water at the Advanced Technology Institute, Guildford. At HTI, Inc., Prof. Ikyo will be our eyes and ears in the communities we serve, ensuring that our vision and mission are delivered.
